Q. Does every player in a four-ball need to score on a smartphone?
A. Only one player using either an IOS or Android smartphone is required per four-ball. Scoring can also be done manually by the course or event organizers via the Pro- Dashboard.
Q. What is the size of the app download?
A. The app size varies between iOS and Android and is approximately 30MB
Q. What happens when your smartphone loses internet connection?
A. Everything from logging on and creating a game until your scorecard is created requires internet. From that point on nothing can go wrong as all scores are saved to the device and you can keep scoring without any internet access. Only when validating scores at the end of your game will you again require an internet connection.
Q. How long does registration for the event take once a player has downloaded the app?
A. Simply download the app, login with the event code and select your name from the players list and there you go. No need to create time consuming profiles on the day seeing as the Pro-Dashboard has already taken care of everything.
Q. Must all players have the app installed prior to the event?
A. Having the app installed prior makes it easier but is not necessary. The quick registration process makes it easy to install the app and register.
Q. Does it allow players to see the leader-boards within the app?
A. Yes, players can track their four ball, the entire field and even side matches against other players in different four-balls.
Q. Can players enter conflicting scores?
A. The players are able to carry on entering their scores even if they are conflicting. There will be a red cross on the scorecard alerting them that their score has conflicted with someone else's in their four ball. The players can discuss the conflict and correct it or the organizer of the event can overwrite the scores on the Pro Dashboard.
Q. Does the Pro-Dashboard give me summaries of RSVP's?
A. Yes, you have a quick summary bar when you login to the event that gives you an overview of data or you can go into Manage RSVP's to access the extensive information requested from players.
Q. Can I check in players online or do I still need printed tee sheets?
A. Yes, you are able to check in payers online and receive a quick summary of registration progress as well as sending players a customizable welcome message at registration.
Q. Am I entitled to all updates of the Pro-Dashboard after i have registered?
A. The Pro-Dashboard is completely web based, which means you will always be up to date with the latest software and don't ever need to download updates.
Q. Am I allowed more than one administrator on events?
A. You are allowed up to 20 administrators per event. You can invite designers, clients, food and beverage managers or even club professionals to co-manage the events.
Q. What file formats are supported for database uploading?
A. The Pro-Dashboad only supports Excel 2007 or higher spreadsheets. Only 4 fields are required: Name, Surname, Mobile Number and Email Address. All other data is captured from the players at RSVP or from their existing 1Mark Scoring accounts.
Q. What formats are supported?
A. 1Mark has more than 12 formats at this stage and is constantly adding additional games. 1Mark owners can also contact us should they require an additional format. If it is possible to incorporate the requested format into the system it will be added in due time.
Q. Can I change pairing on better ball formats?
A. Pairing is selected by the players when they RSVP for their four-ball but this can be changed in the Pro-Dashboard with one simple click.
Q. Can players be replaced or information changed last minute?
A. Yes. We understand the pressures of registration and have taken great care in making this process as smooth as possible. In various places within the Pro-Dashboard you will find clearly marked red buttons for adding or replacing last minute players. You can also edit names as well as handicaps.

A. No, only one smart-phone per four-ball is required but all four players can also participate if they want to. Alternatively you can do manual score capturing for players who don’t have the app or even have scorekeepers on course to capture the entire event manually using the edit scorecards section in the Pro-Dashboard.
Q. Does the administrator have access to the photos posted to the leader-boards by players in the field?
A. Yes, all photos can be seen within the Pro-Dashboard and can immediately be deleted should the event organizer choose to do so. It also posts all photos to a gallery that can be accessed by players or organizers after the event.
Q. Can players be replaced or information changed at the last minute?
A. Yes, players can be replaced without disrupting your positioning. The Pro-Dashboard can easily accommodate Ben filling in for John on the fly. Search the 1Mark database for an existing profile or simply create a new one at registration.
Q. What happens to the database and sensitive information that gets uploaded?
A. 1Mark does not store any banking details or uploaded databases. We only capture the information that players complete in their RSVP form. Players can also easily remove themselves from the 1Mark database after the event.
Q. What tee off formats does 1Mark support?
A. Staggered start, Shotgun start, two tee start and a four tee start. You can also set the different intervals between different four-ball slots. 1Mark uses a very friendly drag and drop system that makes shuffling players extremely easy.
Q. Can an individual RSVP for the entire four-ball?
A. Yes, 1Mark allows the event organizer to choose whether players should RSVP individually or for their entire four-ball. Don't have all the info at once? Not a problem, click on the RSVP link and come back any time when you have the relevant details of the other players become available.
Q. Can I invite a single player or do I have to upload a database every time?
A. Yes, you can send your invitation to a single player or you can manually add players on the Pro-Dashboard.
Q. Can scores be edited in the Pro-Dashboard?
A. All scores can be edited on the Pro-Dashboard or captured manually.
Q. Can scores be captured manually by score-keepers or do they have to be captured by players on their smart-phones?
A. 1Mark allows for tournament organizers to capture the entire event manually should they choose to. Up to 20 administrators can be given access to manage the event or you can capture scores at different scoring stations. You could also take photos of the scorecards at different stations and send them to a central point where they can be captured into the system.
Q. Can other people that are non-players track the action without being at the course?
A. Yes every event receives a link to an on-line HTML leader-board that can be viewed on any internet capable device.
